History
All sights in the historic city center can be easily reached on foot or by bicycle. Like the many museums, the Dom Tower and the Dom Church , The Seven Alleys or (only last Sunday of the month!) Paushuis .
City Parks
The Utrecht city parks Lepelenburg and Wilhelminapark are also worth a visit when the weather is nice for a nice walk or a picnic.
Discover Utrecht
Special ways to discover Utrecht (and highly recommended!) are a city walk with a guide from the Guild or (also with guide, first and third Friday of the month) a night trip by canoe .
Movie
Utrecht is also 'Film City' and known for the annual Dutch Movie festival. The most beautiful cinemas in Utrecht, Louis Hartlooper Complex and Springhaver , are both located near Hotel Oudegracht.
Music and theatre
In the recently completely renovated music center Tivoli Vredenburg , the Utrechtse City Theatre and the Beatrixtheater you can enjoy concerts, drama, cabaret and musical. In the smaller Utrecht theaters such as Theater Frog and the Wharf Theatre you can go for smaller-scale but often special productions in the field of music, theater and dance.
Restaurants and cafes
Cafés, terraces and restaurants can be found 150 meters from Hotel Oudegracht in Ledig Erf and in the adjacent Twijnstraat. Also elsewhere in the Museum Quarter (for example at the Domplein) and around the bustling Neude you will find plenty of cafes, restaurants and other entertainment venues. Shopping
The Twijnstraat has been a shopping street since the 13th century and therefore one of the oldest shopping streets in the Netherlands ; you will mainly find small, specialty shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants there. The larger shopping area of Utrecht with all the famous fashion stores and the famous department store De Bijenkorf can be reached after a 10-minute walk along the beautiful Oudegracht.
Amsterdam
If you want to supplement your stay with a day or evening in Amsterdam, Hotel Oudegracht is also an excellent base for this. From Utrecht CS you can reach Amsterdam CS in half an hour. For concerts in Ziggodome, AFAS Life or football matches and other events in the Johan Cruijff Arena, you are only 17 minutes by train!
